As the villagers of Shirdi lacked medical facilities, Sai gave them medicines and treated them well, Sai provided them with drinking water. Sai brought back the glory of the temples by getting them repaired. Sai got them to dispose off the garbage and made a garden there. Though Sai lived in Masjid, Sai planted a Tulsi plant in the front yard, lit lamps like a Hindu, had a Fire burning constantly like an agnihothri, to welcome one and all - all people who embraced different religions. He won a place in the hearts of all the people in Shirdi!
