Each visited Sai for a different reason and Sai knew what is in their minds, with what problem they come, with what difficulties they are facing and for what they came to Him even before they open their mouth to ask for a help or for blessing to come out of their misery.  And they used to get the blessings or Abhaya with a divine smile and heart moving loving word with the devotee immediately when coming into the site of Sai. They found utmost peaceand a sense of satisfaction, contentment after Sai's darsan.

With folded hands, let us pay obeisance to Sai - let us look upon Sai in our mind's eye - Sai with His golden hued skin, twinkling eyes that seem deep blue, pierced ears, smile on His lips, His moustache and beard and thinking this we remain at Dwarakamai the abode of Sai !

Blessed is the Holy land of Shirdi and the Dwarakamai is indeed a heaven on earth for it was the Home for the Lord for 60 long years.  

It was here that people gathered with reverence and received priceless gifts from Sai - His mercy and grace and even now it holds good.  When people step on the soil of Shirdi with devotion in their hearts, all the misery they experience due to karma disappear.  People return home blessed with long health and wealth - each gets what is due, for you know  - we receive from life what we are willing to give, but, Sai gives more when we surrender completely to Sai.

People used to offer money as dakshina which was again distributed by Sai to needy.  People who were hungry received food from Sai.  Pride and ego were shackled and people became more humble and down-to-earth. If the walls of the masjid would speak they would say that it was a place where miracles happened, a mother's lap where one and all received love and affection.

 .....people forcebly lifted Sai up and took Sai to the mosque.

The mud walls of Dwarakamai were broken and the floor was not even.  The roof looked as if it would collapse any moment.  In the open yard in front of the mosque was a wall built of black stones and a big black rock was placed near it.  In the afternoon, Baba used to sit on it  Even now, people can see the rock in Shirdi.  Sai spent 2-3 years in the masjid.  After sometime Sai chose the wood that lay between the two tributaries "Lebdu" and "Shir".  After spending 2 and half years there, he returned to the Masque Dwarakamai.  Though out this time, smt. Baija Bai continued to offer Sai food.  She waited until Sai savoured it, atleast a little and then used to return home.

Days passed by peacefully in the little village.  Once there were heavy rains.  It rained continuously for several days and the weather was quite damp.  As the ground was slushy and there was water everywhere, none could visit Sai.  Once the clouds cleared, people went to see Sai.  They were Stunned to see Sai meditating under the neem tree.  It was wet and dripping all over.  People realised that Sai  had in that yogic posture all the days.  The movement Sai opened the eys, they pleaded Sai to find some shelter.  If not their houses altleast the delapidated masjid could serve the purpose. When Sai was unwilling to budge from the seat under the neem tree, people forcibly lifted Sai up and took Sai to the mosque called Dwarakamai.
